PhotohydroionizationPHI is a combination of safe, low levels of ozone (well below federal government recommendations), ultraviolet light and metal ions that produce safe and friendly oxidizers that neutralize odors and destroy airborne bacteria and mold. These oxidizers travel through a room by natural air movement. One of the oxidizers is hydro peroxide. Treating a room with hydro peroxides is like misting a room with a hydrogen peroxide mist. Each time a hydrogen peroxide finds an airborne contaminant, it will neutralize the contaminant. An advantage of PHI is there are no harmful by-products, as the oxidizers revert back to oxygen and water vapor. Photohydroionization is also used for food and water purification.
